As an experienced employment law litigator for more than forty years, Nancy Whitehead firmly believes that mediation is the best and most efficient way to resolve disputes. Ms. Whitehead listens well and treats all litigants with respect, while creatively attempting to find common ground to allow the parties to come to an agreement.
Ms. Whitehead graduated in 1982 from the University of Southern California School of Law, where she served as a member of the law review, and was the published author of a law review Note. Ms. Whitehead received her Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona in 1979. In 2022, Ms. Whitehead attended the Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law, Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution and completed the course “Mediating the Litigated Case.”
Ms. Whitehead has practiced law in Orange County since 1982, specializing in employment law and business litigation. She has handled cases in state and federal courts, and has regularly appeared in courts throughout California. Throughout her career, Ms. Whitehead has been lead attorney in jury and court trials and arbitrations.
Ms. Whitehead is a member of Orange County Women Lawyers and the Orange County Bar Association. She was a founding Board Member of Hands Together - A Center for Children, a non-profit child care center for the working poor in downtown Santa Ana. Since 2019, Ms. Whitehead has served as a Temporary Judge for the Orange County Superior Court.
In her spare time, Ms. Whitehead enjoys travel, hiking, sailing and spending time with her adorable grandchildren.
